Aims & Scope

The Journal of Tropical Geography and Environment (GEOTROPE) is an international scientific journal which publishes original scientific articles and bibliographical reviews covering the various aspects of tropical geography and the tropical environment, in French and, exceptionally, in English. The articles should be written in such a way as to be suitable for teaching purposes and/or to help students or non-specialists to compile basic documentation. Short notes, corresponding to preliminary results or research in progress, and technical data sheets may also be published. GEOTROPE is aimed at researchers, lecturers and students. It is a peer-reviewed journal that publishes original, high-quality research articles.

A twelfth criterion — whether APC fees are clearly disclosed — is not scored here; it is left out of the total rather than counted as a failure. Publication charges appear in the metrics card above.
