Aims & Scope
The primary aim of the Journal of Women’s Entrepreneurship and Education (JWEE) is to promote excellence in research on women’s entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial education. The journal publishes high-quality, original studies that examine individual, organizational, and institutional factors influencing women’s entrepreneurial activities across diverse socio-economic contexts . JWEE is dedicated to advancing research, analysis, and scholarly dialogue on women’s entrepreneurship and education, with particular emphasis on empowerment, inclusion, and sustainable economic development in rural, urban, and other environments. The journal encourages contributions from scientists, scholars and practitioners from both developed and developing countries. Submitted manuscripts are expected to address relevant theoretical, empirical, and policy-oriented issues within the field. Key research topics include, but are not limited to: Women’s entrepreneurial attitudes, perceptions, and self-efficacy Entrepreneurial intentions and gender differences Motivational drivers of female entrepreneurs’ business creation Gender differences and socio-economic determinants of entrepreneurship Access to financial, human, and social capital Resilience, sustainability, and performance of women-owned enterprises Gender perspectives on entrepreneurial leadership Organizational culture and women-led businesses Ethics, governance, and efficiency in women’s entrepreneurship Entrepreneurial and lifelong learning of women Entrepreneurial students' education and gender differences Digital skills, innovation, and technology adoption in women-owned businesses. The journal emphasizes the integration of theoretical and empirical research, thereby supporting the development of evidence-based policies, educational initiatives, and practical support mechanisms aimed at empowering women and enhancing their participation in the global economy. By bridging the gap between theory and practice, JWEE contributes to the development of relevant entrepreneurial models and frameworks, ensuring that women’s contributions to business and society are both recognized and effectively leveraged. JWEE provides an interdisciplinary platform that brings together researchers and practitioners from diverse academic and professional backgrounds. It encourages contributions that examine women’s entrepreneurship across different cultural, institutional, and socio-economic contexts, with a strong emphasis on international and comparative perspectives. This approach enhances the journal’s global relevance and supports the dissemination of knowledge across regions and research communities.
