Aims & Scope
Encyclopaideia welcomes articles that come from a wide range of areas of education research and related disciplines. The journal publishes original theoretical and qualitative-empirical studies and analyses in the field of education in the broadest sense to stimulate a critical multidisciplinary debate. In line with the phenomenological inspiration, the following are taken into consideration: Studies and research in the philosophy of education Qualitative investigations into educational practices and experiences Critical reflections on educational policies Phenomenological analyses of educational methods and tools The following are usually instead declined: Studies addressing a narrow context not suitable for an international audience Empirical researches of a quantitative nature and statistical analyses Strictly historical investigations and research in the technological-didactic field not supported by solid epistemological and theoretical considerations We welcome manuscripts in the following areas: theory of education, educational policy, humanities in education, qualitative research reports. We also welcome critical reviews and commentaries addressing conceptual, theoretical, methodological, issues pertaining to educational research. While the philosophical tradition of European phenomenology remains the broad theoretical framework of this journal, no specific methodology or philosophical orientation is required in submissions.
