Aims & Scope

AAS (Asociación Argentina de Sedimentología) is a non-profit association, with Argentine legal status, and based in La Plata, Argentina. Through its network of national and international members, the Association is dedicated to the dissemination of scientific information on sedimentology, stratigraphy, environmental sciences, marine and coastal geology, Quaternary geology, and many other related disciplines. The Association assists members in their professional objectives through the publication of a Scientific Journal, the Latin American Journal of Sedimentology and Basin Analysis (LAJSBA) in addition to proposing technical conferences, update courses and special publications. Through publications, scientific meetings and other activities, members of the Association obtain and exchange information pertinent to their respective geological specialties.
