The International Journal of Medical Informatics (IJMI) provides an international medium for the dissemination of original results and interpretative reviews in the field of medical informatics. It covers health informatics, including educational computer-based programs pertaining to medical informatics or medicine in general, and organizational, economic, social, clinical impact, ethical and cost-benefit aspects of IT applications in health care. The journal is a resource for researchers, clinicians, and policymakers advancing informatics to improve patient safety, population health, and global care equity.
