Aims & Scope

The Public Health Forum is concerned with the preservation and promotion of physical and mental health by organized social action, possibilities to prevent and cope with diseases of the population or population groups, a more equitable access to healthcare, and an effective and efficient use of healthcare resources. Appearing quarterly, the Public Health Forum covers current public health issues and initiatives in Germany. The journal serves the exchange of information between science and public health practice, and it refrains from being a pu The Public Health Forum offers a unique platform for discussing recent developments in the field of public health within Germany and beyond. It focuses on  promotion and protection of physical and mental public health, possibilities for preventing and managing diseases on a population level, a more equitable access to health services, and an effective and efficient use of health-resources. Appearing quarterly, the Public Health Forum promotes the exchange of information between science and public health practice Every issue of the Public Health Forum focuses on a central topic, on which  renowned authors give an overview, report the results of their studies, outline projects or provide practice examples. The contributions are peer-reviewed by two independent reviewers prior to publication. The Public Health Forum also regularly informs about public health research and training in Europe, news from research networks and public health university courses, as well as events relevant to public health.
