Aims & Scope

international reference point, real and virtual, for the study of Sartre's thought and 20th-century French culture. It was established in 1999 as a documentation center for Sartrean studies, read from a critical and multidisciplinary perspective (aesthetic, political, historical, philosophical, and literary). The site records all activities, conferences, and information on research initiated in France and Italy. It also lists all volumes of the "Collana Inediti di Sartre in Italia" series, published by Christian Marinotti Edizioni, and the issues of the "Bollettino Studi Sartriani" which, since 2018, has become the journal "Studi Sartriani" published by Roma TrE-Press. The site aims to be a useful tool for all scholars of Sartrean thought.
