Aims & Scope

ROTOR: Jurnal Ilmiah Teknik Mesin aims to advance the field of Mechanical Engineering by publishing high-quality research articles, reviews, and case studies. The journal seeks to foster the dissemination of scientific knowledge, promote technological innovation, and highlight practical applications that contribute to the development of mechanical engineering and its interdisciplinary areas. Through these efforts, ROTOR aspires to serve as a reputable platform for researchers, practitioners, and academics to share insights and drive progress in the discipline. Mechanical Design and Manufacturing: product design, CAD/CAM, production processes, manufacturing systems, and industrial automation. Materials and Metallurgy: mechanical properties, composites, polymers, ceramics, advanced materials, and material testing. Thermal and Energy Engineering: thermodynamics, heat transfer, combustion, energy conversion, renewable energy, and power plants. Fluid Mechanics and Aerodynamics: computational fluid dynamics (CFD), hydraulics, pneumatics, turbomachinery, and multiphase flow. Dynamics, Control, and Mechatronics: vibration analysis, robotics, instrumentation, control systems, and intelligent machines.

A twelfth criterion — whether APC fees are clearly disclosed — is not scored here; it is left out of the total rather than counted as a failure. Publication charges appear in the metrics card above.
