Texto Livre é um periódico de publicação contínua, de acesso aberto online, mantido pela Faculdade de Letras da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (Brasil) desde 2008. Ele publica artigos científicos, relatos de experiência, ensaios, resenhas críticas, entrevistas e dossiês, com avaliação por pares, que abordem a multi/pluri/inter/transdisciplinaridade nas linhas de linguística, semiótica, educação, comunicação, tecnologias da informação e computação, tradução, robótica e cultura livre relacionadas às tecnologias. Tem como missão fomentar a produção científica nessas linhas, permitindo a pesquisadores do Brasil e do exterior divulgarem suas pesquisas e contribuírem para o debate e o progresso científico na área. São temas correlatos de interesse desse periódico: ensino de línguas mediado por tecnologias, comunicação nas mídias, uso de tecnologias no ensino-aprendizagem, recursos educacionais abertos, cultura livre, inclusão digital, letramento digital, impacto das tecnologias na tradução, divulgação em software livre e outros temas que trazem relação com as tecnologias. A revista aceita textos em português, espanhol, inglês e francês. A Texto Livre destina-se aos pesquisadores e a uma audiência não acadêmica interessada nos temas da revista.
