Aims & Scope

TheJournal of Geography and Planning(JGP) is a peer-reviewed open-access quarterly journal in Persian (with English abstracts and bibliographies) devoted to the fields of geography, urban planning, urban social geography, urban geography, and human geography, published by the University of Tabriz and is scientifically sponsored by the Iranian Geography and Urban Planning Association (IGUPA). TheJournal of Geography and Planning(JGP) is a scientific and research journal promoting the study of, and interest in, Geography and Urban Planning. Articles are welcome on research, practice, experience, current issues, and debates.TheJournal of Geography and Planning(JGP) encourages submissions that reflect the broad and interdisciplinary nature of the subject and articles that integrate several disciplines such as regional planning, urbanization, geography, geomorphology, economics, demography, and environment, with social, contextual, and spatial issues. This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global knowledge exchange. TheJGPis an open-access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher or the author.
