Aims & Scope

The quarterly journal of Geography and Regional Future Studies aims to publish the latest scientific findings and achievements in the field of geography, regional planning, and related interdisciplinary sciences, with a future-oriented approach seeking to play a role in the developmental changes and challenges of the country. By publishing and sharing applied and fundamental research, promoting innovative views, theories, and methods, developing knowledge and scientific communication among domestic and foreign experts and researchers, and accepting, evaluating, and publishing scientific findings in the field of geography and regional planning with a future-oriented approach, the journal focuses on the following research scopes: Theoretical foundations and methodology of future studies, Political mapping of space and region with a future-oriented approach, Regional land use planning with a future-oriented approach, Global experiences and developments and regional planning for its localization with a future-oriented approach, Socioeconomic policies and regional planning with a future-oriented approach, Natural and ecological contexts and regional planning with a future-oriented approach, Development of the settlement system (urban and rural) and regional planning with a future-oriented approach, Megapolises and regional future studies, Sustainable development and regional planning with a future-oriented approach, Regional inequalities and regional future studies with a future-oriented approach.
