Aims & Scope
Altre Modernità (ISSN 2035-7680) is an electronic OJS journal of Literary and Cultural Studies founded in 2009, promoted by the Departments of Foreign Languages and Literatures and Linguistic Mediation and Intercultural Studies of the University of Milan. It aims to be a national and international reference point for reflection on the cultural, artistic, and literary production of contemporaneity through a transdisciplinary and plurilingual perspective. The journal is mainly dedicated to the study of marginal identities and the peripheries of the globalized world, with particular attention to alternative and dissident models and forms of cultural representation. Literary discourse serves as the starting point and inevitable crossroads for explorations in multiple cultural and artistic fields, always approached through a perspective capable of intertwining disciplines and knowledge.
