Aims & Scope

Per Aspera ad Astra, a Pécsi Tudományegyetem művelődés- és egyetemtörténeti közleményei (Per Aspera ad Astra, the cultural and university history publications of the University of Pécs) publishes studies that examine the concept of social space from historical and social science perspectives, with particular attention to education, universities, and the world of knowledge. The journal aims to present research work carried out in the scientific workshops of the University of Pécs, and also offers a publication opportunity for educators and researchers exploring results in social, science, education, pedagogy, and cultural history. The journal also focuses on preserving university memory, publishing life and career interviews with university professors who have had exceptional careers and with prominent figures who continue to shape the life of the institution in the 'Visszapillantó' section. The 'Szemle' section publishes reviews of the latest university and cultural history volumes.
