Aims & Scope
SinoELE is an open-access academic electronic journal (no APC or charges for authors or institutions), founded in 2009 and dedicated to scientific research on the didactics of Spanish as a foreign language in Spanish-speaking contexts (China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao, and others). It exclusively publishes original and rigorous works whose main focus is Spanish for Spanish speakers, and it is governed by double-blind peer review, adherence to COPE, and transparent copyright/licensing policies (CC BY-NC-ND 4.0). The journal was biannual (2009–2016) and has been annual since 2017, with continuous online publication and indication of reception, acceptance, and publication dates. Additionally, it publishes monographs and supplements linked to its editorial line. Since 2023 (no. 23), it does not consider didactic proposals as an article type. From 2025, the publication language will be exclusively Spanish, and the linguistic policy follows the criteria of the RAE (use of the generic masculine as unmarked, clarity and terminological consistency, preference for Pekín over Beijing, and academic distinction between the different educational contexts of the region).
