Aims & Scope
Jurnal Psikologi Ulayat (JPU): Indonesian Journal of Indigenous Psychology is a peer-reviewed scientific journal that serves as a forum for facilitating communication, dissemination, and the advancement of ideas among scholars in psychology and the social sciences. The journal showcases high quality work that recognizes the relevance of indigenous perspectives. JPU is a scholarly outlet for publishing high quality research by social scientists from around the world whose studies address a broad range of psychological topics within the Indonesian context (typically employing Indonesian samples). Manuscript submitted to JPU must emphasize indigenous insights that reflect sociocultural values within the Indonesian context, particularly in discussing the implications of the study. JPU welcomes a wide range of empirical research in psychology, with particular interest in manuscripts that highlight cultural and cross-cultural aspects. This includes comparative studies, the development of emerging theories or hyptotheses grounded in non-Western contexts, and the application or critical examination of psychological principles and theories within specific cultural settings.
