Aims & Scope
Gülhane Medical Journal (GMJ) is a multidisciplinary, unbiased, peer reviewed journal for researchers and health-care providers. It is published quarterly and four times a year (March, June, September, December), and accepts submissions in English. It is the official journal of the Gülhane Faculty of Medicine, University of Health Sciences Türkiye. Dedicated to publishing high-quality research that advances medical knowledge and clinical practice. The journal focuses on clinically relevant research in general medicine, encompassing studies related to disease mechanisms, diagnosis, and treatment, including both medical and interventional approaches. The scope of the journal covers key areas of general medicine, including internal medicine and its subspecialties, surgical sciences, primary care, public health and preventive medicine, emergency medicine, and diagnostic and interventional disciplines. The journal prioritizes studies that support evidence-based clinical practice and provide insights with the potential to improve patient care and health outcomes. Gülhane Medical Journal publishes original research articles, review articles, case reports, and letters to the editor. The journal is intended for clinicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals involved in clinical practice, medical research, and education. The editorial and publication process of Gülhane Medical Journal are shaped in accordance with the guidelines of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICME) , World Association of Medical Editors (WAME) , Council of Science Editors (CSE) , Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) , European Association of Science Editors (EASE) , and National Information Standards Organization (NISO) . The journal is in conformity with the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing .
