Aims & Scope

Phaselis: Disiplinlerarası Akdeniz Araştırmaları Dergisi aims to be a periodical publication that examines the cultural and historical accumulation of the Mediterranean Basin and Anatolian Geography, especially the ancient city of Phaselis, within a chronological perspective, for scientists, researchers, and experts. In this context, the results of multidisciplinary studies carried out by more than a dozen teams, particularly in the field of settlement and field archaeology of the city, are periodically presented to the attention of interested individuals and academics through the Phaselis journal. All studies belonging to natural and social sciences evaluated in the journal are published only in relation to Phaselis. These cover a wide range from the city's flora and fauna to ecology and environment, from mushroom and lichen research to fish, shellfish, algae, and geomorphology. Thus, data that will shed light on the ecological, environmental, and climatic changes and transformations of the city will be reached by comparing the references obtained so far with the results of anthropological, zoological, paleobotanical findings, pollen analyses, and archaeometric studies obtained/to be obtained from Phaselis excavation-surface research.
