Aims & Scope

Analytical Approaches to World Music welcome submissions that engage the analytical, theoretical, and cultural aspects of the panoply of world musical traditions. These may take the form of articles of moderate length (approximately 5000–20,000 words), as well as shorter essays, research notes, interviews, editorials, reviews, or any other innovative mode of scholarly discourse. We particularly encourage submissions that take full advantage of our online format by including sound files, video clips, photos, animations, interactive examples and hyperlinks.
