Aims & Scope
Cadernos de Tradução is an international journal dedicated to Translation Studies, founded in 1996 by professors from the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. The journal publishes unpublished articles, reviews, translation reviews, interviews, and translated articles. Currently, Cadernos de Tradução is linked to the Graduate Program in Translation Studies at the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina (PGET-UFSC) and represents a recognized forum for discussion on research in the field of Translation Studies. The journal is indexed in several national and foreign databases, evaluated as A1 in Qualis/Capes and classified as Q1 in Scimago Journal & Country Rank. Cadernos de Tradução is part of the SciELO Brazil Collection. The main objective of the journal is to publish research results in the field of Translation Studies and to follow the debate in the area, whose interdisciplinarity is inherent to it. It publishes high-quality articles, reviews, and interviews with effective scientific-academic contribution to Translation Studies. Furthermore, the criteria adopted for the selection of works are: novelty, originality, clarity, timeliness, and relevance of the study to the area. As of 2022, the journal Cadernos de Tradução has started publishing in continuous flow following the principles of open science. Cadernos de Tradução is exclusively online and works in open access, not charging any type of fees for publication. Cadernos de Tradução publishes works in Portuguese, English, Spanish, French, German, and Italian.
