Integrating Materials and Manufacturing Innovation
Springer International Publishing AG · Switzerland · Est. 2012
Aims & Scope
Integrating Materials and Manufacturing Innovation is a journal committed to building a digital framework for materials and manufacturing design supporting the accelerated discovery, development, and application of materials and processes. The journal explores innovations that embrace the discipline of Integrated Computational Materials Engineering (ICME). Presents research that supports building a model-based definition of materials and processes that is compatible with model-based engineering design processes. Provides descriptions of novel experimental or computational tools, algorithms, and software, high throughput methods, artificial intelligence techniques, and their application. Introduces best practices in the verification and validation of computational tools, sensitivity analysis, uncertainty quantification, and data management. Provides in-depth descriptions of data sets, databases, data sharing tools, data standards, and data analysis techniques. Highlights the impacts of an ICME approach by presenting case studies integrating experiment and computation to solve enduring engineering problems.
