Diegesis: Interdisziplinäres E-Journal für Erzählforschung
Bergische Universität Wuppertal · Germany
Aims & Scope
DIEGESIS is the first interdisciplinary journal dedicated to narrative research that offers free online access to full-text articles and reviews. Edited by senior members of the Center for Narrative Research (CNR) at the University of Wuppertal , and hosted by the institution’s Center for Information and Media Processing in cooperation with the university’s library, DIEGESIS is one of the leading resources for cutting-edge theoretical and empirical work on narrative, narrativity and storytelling in all media, contexts and applications, from fiction to film, literature to conversation, and journalism to social networks. Its high standards and transdisciplinary orientation, combined with the benefits of e-publishing, make DIEGESIS an ideal platform for interdisciplinary exchange and debate. Two thematic issues are published each year with original articles in English or German from a wide range of disciplines including literary, media, and cultural studies, sociology, art history and psychology, to name but a few. Special issues compiled by guest editors will also appear on an occasional basis. Our review section aims to provide a comprehensive overview of current narratological work in the different disciplines, and to help scholars and researchers with an interest in narrative keep track of new developments in related fields. Our peer review process on the one hand, and the international members of our interdisciplinary advisory board on the other, help us to secure the highest scholarly standards.
