Aims & Scope
Salus Journal publishes open-access scholarship covering a wide range of criminological, security, criminal justice, and public safety studies. Founded in 2013 by the Australian Graduate School of Policing and Security at Charles Sturt University and now published by its Faculty of Business, Justice, and Behavioral Sciences, the journal follows a double-blind peer review process. Guided by the university’s principle of advancing knowledge for the public good, Salus Journal welcomes original empirical research, theoretical contributions, and critical analyses that meet the highest standards of methodological integrity. Contributions may explore topics such as national security, crime prevention and control, emergency management, and the administration of justice, as long as they demonstrate relevance to current societal challenges. Aims Salus Journal aims to promote scholarship that builds resilient, equitable communities worldwide by providing evidence-based insights and practical findings. While targeting an international audience, the journal welcomes submissions ranging from specific local case studies to comparative regional and global research. By supporting work across disciplines—including criminology, political science, security studies, sociology, and economics—Salus Journal aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue. All manuscripts should demonstrate conceptual clarity, analytical rigor, and implications for policy, practice, or further research in the fields of safety, security, and justice.
