Aims & Scope
Journal of Kidney Cancer (ISSN: 2203-5826) is a peer-reviewed, online-only, open access journal dedicated for the dissemination of research findings in kidney cancer and VHL. Kidney cancer, also known as renal cell carcinoma, is relatively rare representing approximately 2% of all cancers. Aberrations in the von Hippel-Lindau gene (VHL) are the major risk factors for the development of kidney cancer. VHL aberrations, by themselves, also cause another rare condition called VHL syndrome. The incidence of VHL syndrome is estimated to be 1 in 36,000 individuals. Journal of Kidney Cancer aims to be a scholarly forum for the exchange of knowledge which will enable scientists to develop better treatment strategies for the management of these two disorders. The journal will publish basic science and clinical research articles on all aspects of kidney cancer and VHL. Original articles, comprehensive reviews, case reports, short communications, and letter to the editor are suitable for submission.
