Aims & Scope

Thanatos is an open, peer-reviewed, scientific online journal published by the Finnish Death Studies Association. It appears twice a year. Thanatos promotes internal dialogue in death studies by presenting perspectives from different disciplines on death and its study. Thanatos welcomes publication proposals ranging from articles and book reviews to research papers, conference reports, and more informal writings such as columns and film reviews. The primary publication language is Finnish, but articles are also accepted in Swedish and English. Publishing is free of charge, but language revision costs are the responsibility of the author.
