Aims & Scope
The Business Excellence and Management journal ( BEMAN ) strives to publish the highest level of research relating to management. It sets out to stimulate thought and research in all aspects of management and to provide a natural forum for discussion and dissemination of research results. BEMAN is designed to encourage interest in all matters relating to management and is intended to appeal to both the academic and professional community working in this area. Embracing a multidisciplinary approach to the field, BEMAN publishes articles focused on management research, including but not limited to: § Strategic management § Operations management § Quality management § Production management § Human resources management and organizational design § Project management § Environmental management § Urban management § Public management § Sustainable management § Sustainable development § Information management § Integrated management systems § Green investment management § Innovation management § Service management § Any other topic relevant to the above fields Its purpose is to serve as a medium through which those with management research interests in both the manufacturing and service sectors can exchange ideas and keep abreast of the latest developments pertaining to management research. No topics relating to management are excluded from consideration in order to develop business excellence. As a broad-based professional and international journal, BEMAN welcomes submissions of applied and theoretical research papers in all fields of management. To be published in BEMAN , a manuscript must significantly advance theory and/or practice, provide managerially meaningful and generalizable empirical research, or provide new models or methods that can be used to improve management. The contributions suitable for BEMAN should fall into one of the following categories: § Full-length research papers presenting important new findings in the field (max. 20 pages) ; § Book reviews in the field (2-5 pages); § Case studies describing new developments (max. 20 pages) ; § Academic discussion papers dealing with medium to long-term trends and predictions (max. 20 pages). The submitted papers should be original, unpublished, and not in consideration for publication elsewhere at the time of submission to the journal.
