Aims & Scope

The journal seeks to encourage the creation and communication of knowledge in diabetes and its complications in Latin America. It publishes original research in the following areas: Basic and pathophysiological aspects of diabetes and metabolism. Clinical care of patients with diabetes, their associated pathologies and their complications. Epidemiology of diabetes, its risk factors and its complications. In addition to original articles and clinical cases, the journal publishes review articles, editorials, and letters to the editor. Published articles are of interest and usefulness for clinicians, researchers, public health professionals, psychologists, educators, epidemiologists and decision makers on health issues related to diabetes.
