Aims & Scope
The Journal of English Language Teaching and Learning (JELTL) is a double-blind, open-access, peer-reviewed academic journal that provides a platform for researchers, practitioners, and educators to share innovative ideas, empirical research, and critical reviews in the field of English language education specially as a second or foreign language. The journal is owned, managed, and published by University of Tabriz , Tabriz, Iran since 2009. The journal is scientifically sponsored by the Teaching English Language and Literature Society of Iran (TELLSI). The journal aims to foster scholarly dialogue around the theory and practice of teaching and learning English as a second, foreign, or international language across diverse educational contexts. Scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to: Second and foreign language acquisition Teaching English as a second/foreign language (TESL/TEFL) English for specific and academic purposes (ESP/EAP) Curriculum design and syllabus development Language assessment and evaluation Language teacher education and professional development Technology-enhanced language learning (TELL) Materials development and textbook analysis Multilingualism and translanguaging in language education Sociolinguistic and cultural dimensions of English language learning Classroom-based and action research in ELT Innovations and challenges in English language pedagogy The journal welcomes original research articles, review papers, theoretical studies, and classroom-based investigations that offer insights relevant to scholars, teachers, and policy-makers in the field of English language education.
