Aims & Scope

ABE Journal – Architecture beyond Europe is a journal that publishes research on the history of architecture and urbanism, with a particular focus on non-European contexts and post-colonial perspectives. It aims to provide a platform for scholars working outside of anglophone scholarship and to bring overlooked research to a global readership. The journal covers topics such as colonial architecture, post-independence developments, urban planning, and the impact of international aid and expertise on architectural production.
