Aims & Scope
Studies in Communication Sciences (SComS) is a peer-reviewed, platinum open-access journal dedicated to advancing academic research and debate in communication and media research. Focused on building bridges between different research cultures, SComS welcomes high-quality original articles from various communication-related disciplines. The journal publishes research that crosses disciplinary boundaries and encourages contributions in English, German, French, and Italian. As SComS is based in Switzerland at the German, French, and Italian-speaking intersections of the world, the journal is particularly interested in showcasing developments in communication sciences in these language areas. However, SComS welcomes original and innovative research from any part of the world and any major area or subfield of communication science that makes a theoretical, methodological, and/or empirical contribution. SComS publishes full papers as well as short articles, e.g. position papers, event reports, and book reviews. Authors are invited to submit original papers that are not under consideration for publication elsewhere.
