Aims & Scope
Adeptus is an interdisciplinary journal publishing material that contributes to a better understanding of contemporary Slavic cultures and is based on the anthropological and linguistic research, as well as translations of relevant texts in the field and interviews with distinguished scholars. The journal is focused especially on comparisons: among Slavic countries and between Slavic and other European and non-European cultures. Adeptus ’ geographical scope are the Slavic countries but also the broadly understood Central Europe – the area that lies between Germany and Russia, including the Baltic region and the Balkans – as well as the entire post-Soviet region: Russia and all the other countries of the former Soviet Union. Adeptus often publishes thematic special issues. The journal encourages the submission of research articles touching on a wide range of topics consistent with Adeptus ’ aims and seeking to generate new ideas and inspire readers across different regional and theoretical fields. Submissions from all disciplines and perspectives are welcome. We only publish texts written in Polish or English.
