Aims & Scope

The journal aims to promote the development of fundamental knowledge in the field of socio-cultural and physical (biological) anthropology in priority areas such as theory and history of science, modern methods of obtaining and presenting scientific developments, (co)evolution of human communities and cultural forms, population-genetic and ethological research, the phenomenon of ethnicity, interethnic relations and ethnic policy, migration and demography of culturally complex societies, urban anthropology and everyday life, anthropology of religions, linguistic and medical anthropology, gender studies, sociology, cross-cultural psychology, social ecology and ethnological expertise. The geographical scope of publications is unlimited. The journal accepts articles from scientists worldwide. Texts are published in Russian or English. The accompaniment of Russian-language texts with abstracts, keywords, and reference information in English contributes to the expansion of the author base and readership, as well as the deepening of international cooperation. The journal is open to new authors and dialogue of opinions. The publication of analytical texts of high scientific quality is ensured by double-blind peer review of manuscripts submitted to the editorial office.
