A revista Abakós tem por missão fomentar a interdisciplinaridade na área de Ciências Exatas e Informática, por meio de pesquisas aplicadas e integradas, aprimorando o ensino e disseminando conhecimento em linguagem acessível a uma audiência diversificada composta por docentes e discentes de cursos da área, bem como profissionais de áreas afins. Os trabalhos selecionados para publicação devem ser inéditos, na forma de tutoriais, artigos completos, comunicações, resenhas ou resumos de teses, dissertações ou trabalhos de conclusão de curso, contemplando discussões que entrelaçam conteúdos das áreas de Informática e Ensino de Ciências e Matemática, bem como aplicações nas Engenharias e nas Ciências Sociais.
