Aims & Scope
Interdisciplinaria Archaeologica (IANSA) – Natural Sciences in Archaeology is an international, peer-reviewed, open access journal dedicated to the publication of original research articles, reviews, and short communications that bridge the gap between natural sciences and archaeology. The journal aims to foster interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration by publishing high-quality research that applies methods and theories from natural sciences to address archaeological questions. IANSA covers a wide range of topics, including but not limited to geoarchaeology, bioarchaeology, archaeometry, archaeobotany, archaeozoology, archaeogenetics, dating methods, environmental archaeology, and landscape archaeology. The journal welcomes contributions that employ advanced analytical techniques and interdisciplinary approaches to reconstruct past environments, human activities, and cultural dynamics.
