Aims & Scope
Revista GEARTE publishes exclusively unpublished texts that have a maximum of three authors, with the main author being a doctoral researcher (researchers with a master's degree or master's students or doctoral students may be authors as long as accompanied by a doctoral researcher). It publishes articles resulting from research, studies, reflections, and contemporary debates in the area of visual arts education that focus on the relationships between education, art, language, and technology, in dialogue with different theoretical contributions. It publishes unpublished texts in Portuguese, Spanish, or English. It has a section dedicated to Visual Essays and results of Arts-Based Research (Investigación Basada en las Artes – IBA; Arts-Based Research – ABR; Pesquisa Educacional Baseada em Arte – Arts-Based Educational Research – ABER). In addition to articles, it publishes visual and audiovisual essays, verbal-visual testimonies, poetic essays, and interviews (transcribed, audio only, and audio and video).
