Aims & Scope

The Journal de Ciencias Sociales is the Academic Journal of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Palermo. It has been published semi-annually since 2013, and today receives original productions of articles and essays - as the central corpus of the journal - along with contributions related to international debates, social panoramas, book reviews and rescues, and student contributions; written in both Spanish and English. The Journal is dedicated to the diverse fields of Social Sciences, from a broad theoretical-methodological perspective, accepting interdisciplinary contributions that include contributions from various disciplines, always with a focus on the social; thus, it is an innovative proposal in the field of scientific journals. It is a digital publication aimed at researchers, academics, professionals, policy actors, diplomats, and postgraduate and undergraduate students, prioritizing and encouraging the participation of interested parties outside the publishing entity, presenting a collection of texts from authors from different parts of the world in each issue.

A twelfth criterion — whether APC fees are clearly disclosed — is not scored here; it is left out of the total rather than counted as a failure. Publication charges appear in the metrics card above.
