Aims & Scope
The International Journal of Homiletics (IJH) is a a double-anonymized, peer-reviewed, open access journal aiming to promote global homiletical dialogue. The International Journal of Homiletics is funded in part by Societas Homiletica e.V., Frankfurt, Germany ( https://www.societas-homiletica.org/ ), and publishes its biennial conference proceedings. Conference proceedings and special volumes are subject to the same review process as regular volumes. This includes oversight from the editor-in-chief, double-anonymous peer review, and confirmation of a contributor’s credentials. The Journal publishes articles from scholars around the world and works on the development of methodology, the exchange of research results, and the theological, interdisciplinary, and interreligious discussion on preaching in all its different forms. IJH welcomes theoretical, methodological and empirical contributions. IJH is the first journal that brings together homileticians from different national, religious, and cultural contexts. Articles can be published both in English to serve international readership and in the original language of the author to better facilitate homiletical exchange and reflection. Currently the journal offers language support for Dutch, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Italian, Korean, Spanish, and Portuguese. If an author submits an article in a language not listed here, the editorial team will attempt to support translation to English in coordination with the author.
