Aims & Scope

The journal provides accessible, high-quality evidence to advance our understanding of chronic diseases, injuries, life course health and health equity for application of disease prevention, health promotion and disparity reduction in public health. The HPCDP Journal welcomes articles on Canadian-based or -focussed research, studies using Canadian data, or those relevant to the health of Canadians. International submissions will only be considered if they include Canadian data, results (e.g. as part of multi-country studies) and/or evidence-based discussion of implications for public health in Canada. It is also committed to the use of sex- and gender-based analysis in health research. Additional priority areas include mental health; healthy living; Indigenous health; population health interventions; and environmental health.
