Aims & Scope
Studia z Filologii Polskiej i Słowiańskiej is a journal publishing research in Slavic (including Polish) linguistics. The scope of the journal is very broad and encompasses various areas of linguistic research: Diachronic and synchronic studies on different levels of linguistic systems, i.e. phonetics and phonology, morphology (including word formation), syntax and semantics; these studies pertain to one language or investigate phenomena in multiple languages from a contrastive point of view; Textual functioning of languages; Studies on different dialects; Etymology; New trends in linguistics, including methodologies taking into account phenomena external to language itself that have an impact on various processes in Slavic languages; Research on issues related to interactions among Slavic languages and between Slavic and non-Slavic languages, as well as questions regarding the impact of Slavic languages on languages from different language families. The journal publishes contributions in all Slavic languages as well as congress languages (English, German, French).
