Aims & Scope

Ethnoscientia is the official publication of the Brazilian Society of Ethnobiology and Ethnoecology (SBEE), dedicated to the dissemination of original texts and contributions on the ethnobiological and ethnoecological theme. Ethnoscientia publishes manuscripts in all areas of Ethnobiology and Ethnoecology, in texts about the relationships, of the present and the past, between human beings of different societies and nature, in its different manifestations, perceptions and frameworks. The research areas to be published in the journal may be related to, but not limited to, ethnobotany, ethnozoology, ethnopedology, ethnomycology, ethnomedicine, ethnopharmacology, ethnoveterinary, ethnomathematics, ethnomusicology, ethnoastronomy, traditional agriculture, paleoethnobotany, zooarchaeology, ethnogastronomy and ethnonutrition, legislation and regulation, history and philosophy of science, human ecology, cultural ecology and biocultural memory, linguistics and other areas involved with ethnosciences in their various relationships.
