Aims & Scope

LingBaW is an outlet for original scholarly research conducted by linguists of different persuasions. It is meant to capture the latest advances in language studies and the enthusiasm of contemporary debate on current topics in linguistics. LingBaW illuminates universal and system-specific patterns as well as variety in the structure and use of natural languages. The journal is intended to promote the most excellent language-oriented projects of international scholarship. Contributions focused on the recent theoretical developments and innovative applications of research findings can be published in the form of both full-scale articles and shorter reviews. Hence, we invite all linguists to submit their articles to LingBaW and in this way enrich the forum of linguistic dialogue. We welcome articles in a wide range of areas to offer a complex multi-aspectual perspective on the phenomenon of language, its nature, structure, evolution and application in various spheres of human activity. Manuscripts submitted for consideration can be focused on issues from general, historical, theoretical, and applied linguistics as well as address problems of language theory. The subfields of linguistics covered by the journal include: theoretical linguistics (syntax, morphology, phonology, phonetics, semantics, lexicon) applied linguistics bilingualism and multilingualism psycholinguistics sociolinguistics cognitive linguistics construction grammar corpus studies translation studies endangered languages first and second language acquisition language teaching language assessment language contact language typology language variation and change historical linguistics research methods in linguistics discourse analysis
