Aims & Scope

The Scientific Journal of the Institute of Women's Studies was established on the initiative of academics associated with the Institute and the Faculty of History and International Relations at the University of Białystok. Coming up with the scientific journal proposal, we decided to join the scientific discussion on women's issues as the main research trend presented in the journal. Our journal is, by definition, interdisciplinary in nature and presents and propagates scientific achievements in the fields of: history (leading discipline) cultural and religious studies family studies security studies legal studies sociological studies The main goal of the journal is to disseminate Polish research on women's history and popularize scientific achievements in the field of women's issues, promoting the history of women and their contribution to the development of culture in Poland and internationally.

A twelfth criterion — whether APC fees are clearly disclosed — is not scored here; it is left out of the total rather than counted as a failure. Publication charges appear in the metrics card above.
