Aims & Scope

Revista Electrónica de Investigación en Docencia Universitaria (REIDU) is a free, open-access, scientific-academic electronic journal funded by the Vicerrectoría de Investigación, Innovación y Postgrado of the Universidad de Antofagasta. Its mission is to be a means of disseminating knowledge in teaching and its objective is to promote a space for reflection, discussion, and dissemination, at a local and global level, of topics that contribute to the knowledge and improvement of the quality of educational processes in the university context. Its target audience includes universities, researchers, undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate students, professionals in the field of university teaching, and the general public interested in related topics. REIDU publishes only original studies and reserves all reproduction rights of the content of the contributions, and the opinions expressed by each author are their sole responsibility. REIDU declares itself an open-access journal and adheres to the BOAI definition (Budapest Open Access Initiative, 2002); that is, both authors and users have the right to “read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link the full texts of these articles”, indicating the source. It incorporates the OAI-PMH interoperability protocol (Open Archive Initiative-Protocol for Metadata Harvesting) with the possibility of obtaining different metadata formats. REIDU is distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License. REIDU works with the LOCKSS system (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) which guarantees the journal a permanent repository and with the CLOCKSS system, a system based on the open-source LOCKSS software developed at Stanford University Library, which allows libraries to preserve selected web journals by regularly checking the websites of registered journals for recently published content and archiving it. REIDU receives articles in Spanish and English and is applying to various indexing catalogs. It is a member of CROSSREF. REIDU has a periodicity of two issues per year, with a minimum of 8 articles per issue and has a double-blind peer-review system.
