Aims & Scope

The journal "Comparative Studies on Islamic and Western Law" is a quarterly scientific-research journal in the fields of Islam and Law, Law, Islamic Law, Islamic International Law, Islamic Human Rights, Islamic Criminal Law, Islamic Judiciary, Jurisprudence, and Islamic Jurisprudence, Comparative Studies on Islamic and Western Law, and Iranian and Western Law. The approach and goal of the Faculty of Law of Qom University in publishing the journal is to deeply examine emerging topics in Western law and compare them with the principles and rulings of Sharia, especially Imami jurisprudence, by utilizing high-level academic and seminary experts, in order to harmonize and indigenize Western imported legal institutions based on religious principles. Undoubtedly, utilizing the capacities and capabilities available in the Qom Seminary - especially considering the university's significant presence of faculty members with advanced and simultaneous seminary and university education - will enrich jurisprudential legal research even further.
