Aims & Scope
Matkailututkimus is a multidisciplinary journal of tourism, recreation, and leisure published by the Finnish Society for Research on Tourism. The journal publishes peer-reviewed articles and review articles (double-blind review) and viewpoints (open peer review) as well as non-peer-reviewed writings in the "Perspectives" and "Lectures" sections in Finnish, Swedish, and English. In addition to general issues, thematic issues focusing on a specific topic are also published. The journal appears twice a year and can be read on the journal.fi service immediately after publication. The journal's content can be freely and freely used (read, download, copy, share, print, and link, and search) for all legal purposes without asking permission from the publisher or author. No fees are charged to authors who publish in the journal. The journal is included in the DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals) database. The journal's contents, i.e. issues, are backed up to Microsoft's cloud service managed by the editors-in-chief.
