Aims & Scope

Renewable Energy and Environmental Sustainability (REES) is an international, interdisciplinary, open-access journal that bridges the advancement of renewable energy technologies with their integration into sustainable environmental strategies for the built environment and society at large. The journal publishes original research, reviews, and innovations that connect clean energy production with environmental, social, and economic sustainability, supporting the transition toward climate-neutral and resilient societies, while contributing to climate change mitigation and adaptation. 1. Technological Solutions 1.1 Renewable energy integration at all scales, from urban and rural systems (e.g., agrivoltaics, building-integrated photovoltaics, solar thermal) to utility-scale solar PV and onshore/offshore wind; 1.2 Biomass and waste-to-energy conversion; 1.3 Geothermal applications; 1.4 Urban mini-hydro and wind plants. 2.
