Aims & Scope
Mirai. Estudios Japoneses publishes original research papers related to Japan, presenting clearly the topic to be studied, the analysis of its bibliography and/or primary sources, the method applied for research, and the contribution of novelties, both in its monographic section and in the miscellaneous section. The Translation Laboratory section accepts original direct translations from contemporary and classical Japanese (kanbun, kogo, sorobun etc.). Texts must not have appeared previously in any other publication, either in full or in part, and must possess evident literary and/or historical value. A complete text is preferred over a fragment. These works will consist, in addition to the translation, of a study and analysis of the same, including a reference to its historical context, its relevance, the difficulties presented by its translation, and the contributions it implies, as well as the analyses that the author deems pertinent. The translation will be accompanied by the Japanese text. Essays, bibliographic works, dissemination texts, artistic, literary, cinematographic criticisms, etc., are excluded. Book reviews and exhibition critiques are also accepted.
