Aims & Scope
Studies in Linguistics, Culture, and FLT is an open access scholarly journal that aims at publishing high-quality authentic texts in a variety of areas in the field of humanities. The journal provides a platform for publishing the results of quality research and for an exchange of innovative and creative ideas for local and international scholars working in the fields specified below. Being open access SILC allows readers to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of its articles and to use them for any other lawful purpose. Studies in Linguistics, Culture, and FLT publishes articles, reviews and research papers in the following areas related to English Studies: Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, Literature, Comparative/Contrastive Linguistics, Conversation Analysis, Critical Discourse Analysis, Cultural Studies, Discourse Analysis, Ethnography of Communication, Foreign Language Teaching, Teacher Training and Professional Development, Functional Grammar, Text/Corpus Linguistics, Gesture/Sign/Visual Forms of Communication, Intercultural Communication, Language Ideology, Language Policy, Language Socialization, Linguistic Anthropology, Literacy Studies, Literature and Civilisation, Media Studies, Narrative Studies, Pragmatics, Second Language Acquisition, English for Special Purposes, Social Semiotics, Translation Studies. The methods of research employed could be qualitative, quantitative or mixed, and the research designs could be case studies, experimental/semi-experimental studies, literature reviews, etc.
