Aims & Scope
Revista Universitară de Sociologie is a peer-reviewed academic journal published three times per year, dedicated to the advancement of sociological research and interdisciplinary dialogue within the broader field of social sciences. The journal provides a platform for academic staff, researchers, doctoral candidates, and practitioners interested in contemporary sociological analysis, theoretical innovation, methodological development, and applied research addressing current societal challenges. The journal publishes original research articles, theoretical contributions, methodological studies, and critical review papers covering a wide range of sociological themes and interdisciplinary perspectives. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to: social problems and social policy; political sociology and governance; sociology of education; labour market dynamics, employment, and economic sociology; social development and community studies; social work and applied sociology; family sociology and social relations; crime, criminality, and social deviance; health, demographic change, and population studies; media, communication, and digital society; cultural sociology and identity studies; rural sociology and community transformation; social inequality, marginalization, and inclusion; migration and social mobility; social change, modernization, and post-socialist transformations. Revista Universitară de Sociologie welcomes both conceptual and empirical contributions, with particular emphasis on methodologically rigorous, theoretically grounded, and empirically supported research that contributes to a deeper understanding of contemporary social transformations at local, regional, and global levels.
