Aims & Scope

Dictatorships & Democracies (D&D) is an open-access online journal, published in Barcelona by the Open University of Catalonia and the Carles Pi i Sunyer Foundation. Its objective is to promote and disseminate research on contemporary societies in relation to social and intellectual movements, and democratization processes from a comparative and transnational perspective. D&D is therefore a space for academic dialogue and debate between any form of historical and cultural research, including political, social, economic, international, literary, or artistic approaches.
