Aims & Scope

Health Behavior Research is an open access, peer-reviewed journal that publishes original research, reviews, and commentaries on health behavior and health behavior change. The journal aims to provide a platform for researchers and practitioners to share their work and to advance the field of health behavior research. The journal covers a wide range of topics, including but not limited to: * Health promotion and disease prevention * Health education and communication * Health policy and advocacy * Health disparities and equity * Behavioral interventions and programs * Health behavior theories and models * Measurement and evaluation of health behavior * Implementation science and practice * Global health and development * Public health and community health * Clinical health psychology * Health economics and policy * Health informatics and technology * Patient-centered care and shared decision-making * Health and well-being * Lifestyle and chronic disease management * Mental health and well-being * Substance use and addiction * Violence prevention and safety * Women's health and reproductive health * Child and adolescent health * Aging and gerontology * Health communication and media * Health behavior in specific populations (e.g., ethnic minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities) * Health behavior in specific settings (e.g., schools, workplaces, healthcare systems) * Health behavior research methods and ethics
